This series of six posters, “Ganan Ganan Poor Fella Me,” reflect not just personal stories but the broader political truths of being Blak in Australia. These works expose the weight of expectations, the words thrown at us, and the ways we’ve had to hustle to survive. Through humor and hard truths, these pieces are conversations between animals that echo the remarks and judgments we’ve faced.

This art isn’t just decoration—it’s resistance. It’s a voice for mob who’ve had to navigate systems built to oppress, while holding onto their humor, culture, and truth.

T44x61.4cmhis poster captures countless stories, spanning all the places I've lived and worked. Each place holds memories, and I'm certain each has a story. This was my first poster series, and it reflects my journey.

"The Boss Man and the Old Black Man" (Fluro Reprint 2024 of 2021 design, 1 of 20, Limited Edition)

A story about my Dad, Uncle, and me chipping peanuts in Kingaroy. Dad, fair-skinned, was often called "Gdaraphi." Over time, Dad earned the respect of one of the bosses who later became a friend, inviting us back every year.

Growing up on Cherbourg Mission, we often went fishing or hunting. Property owners would frequently confront us, demanding we return to the mission—a reflection of ongoing access struggles when visiting sacred sites.

During my time at a legal service in Murgon, an older white local asked about my heritage in terms of "breed." His comment was a reminder of the classifications and attitudes that lingered.

This artwork reflects on changing times. Once, animals were hunted for survival; today, they're more likely to face danger from vehicles than hunters.
