This exhibition provides an opportunity to experience the music, film, and dance of First Nations people, all while surrounded by their art in development.
Saltwater Embers is a multidisciplinary exhibition showcasing works in progress by artists who attended the 2024 First Nations Artist Camp held on South Stradbroke Island.
“Our Art carries story that stretches far before and beyond the final outcome; it is about memory, process, transition, and the moments in between where relationships form, and ideas spark and ignite. Saltwater Embers presents the raw, dynamic energy of First Nations artistic practice in flux.” – Libby Harward, Curator
