WHAT IF WE TOOK IT ALL BACK

What if we took it all back is an exhibition by Brenda Mau and Jadamali Leuga. Both artists have used digital media for the exploration of alternate realities, either a futuristic world that is void of constraints or one where strong black women take back control of colonial restraints placed on them.
Brenda Mau is a Torres Strait Islander, Mandubarra, Kalkadoon, Wuthathi, Ngadjonjii woman, who was born on MaMu country of North Queensland.
Jadamali Leuga is a strong, proud and intuitive, Yalanji/Samoan artist who has her roots planted deep in Yalanji culture and has also been exploring her Samoan identity since her late teens.
