EOI NOW OPEN – Blak Creatives Exchange 2026-Curatorial Professional Development.

City of Moreton Bay Art Galleries X Munimba-ja’s Arts Centre - Blak Creatives Program. A Curatorial and Exhibition Development Program opportunity for First Nations artists and creatives.

Second year Running !!!!

Building on the success of the 2025 program, we are inviting 5 First Nations artists to submit an Expression of Interest for the 2026 cohort. This six-day intensive, delivered between April–July 2026 at Redcliffe Art Gallery on Kabi Kabi Country, will guide participants through the foundations of exhibition production — from concept to installation.

Participating artists will receive an honorarium of $800. Workshops will be held at Redcliffe Art Gallery, one day per fortnight, commencing

14 April through to 28 May.

This will include:

• Two online meetings in June (dates TBC)

• Installation days on 15 & 16 July (TBC)

Working alongside the Incredible Moreton Bay gallery team, Munimba-ja Blak Creatives and industry professionals, participants will gain hands-on experience in Curatorial thinking, Exhibition development, and navigating institutional gallery contexts.

Blak Creatives is Munimba-ja Arts centre’s Indigenous-led professional development program providing culturally safe, community-centred support for First Nations artists.

Key Dates: EOI opens: 13 February

EOI closes: 11 March

Artists notified: 18 March

Acceptance due: 23 March
