    Abigail was born in Larrakia Country she is Ballardong, Noongar, Czech and English decent. She is a Tamborine Mountain based artist. Her art is deeply influenced by her family, who are strong advocates for the protection of art, people, land, and cultural heritage.

    Beth is a member of the Wulli Wulli people from the North Burnett region of QLD. Beth is a visual artist and photographer by trade. Beth's creative process is both intuitive and exploratory.

    Dani is a member of the Wayilwan clan from central and western New South Wales, around Coonamble. Dani, also known as Sunny Luwe,  is a multidisciplinary artist and educator with a strong focus on music and the environment.

    Katherine is a member of the people Kooma-Githubul people.. Her primary work is multi disciplinary and performative installation her practice connects her to the depth and resilience of her country, as well as to the memories of being with family.

    Kabi Kabi, Gooreng Gooreng, and South Sea Islander

    Keely is a member of the Kabi Kabi, Gooreng Gooreng, and South Sea Islander peoples. Keely’s art in Salt Water Embers confronts the intersections of faith, identity, and gender-based violence. This work creates a space for reimagining the meaning of scriptures and challenges harmful narratives.

    Nunukal, Quandamooka.

    Miya is a Noonuccal artist whose practice is grounded in her ancestral connections to the land and waters of Moreton Bay and Minjerribah/Terangeri (North Stradbroke Island). Her work draws deeply from Country, story, and song.

    Kombumerri

    Rowan is a Kombumerri man, with family from Southport in the Gold Coast region. He performs as 'Salllvage.' He is an experimental producer and sound artist working at the intersection of connection with Country and electronic sound art.

    Sophie is from the Gamilaraay nation who works crosses artforms.   Her installation in Salt Water Embers examines the dualities of religious experience and cultural grounding referencing the complex interplay of tradition, identity, and spirituality.

    Erica hails from the families of the Yugambeh language region and is a traditional weaver. Her work is inspired by the ingenuity and creativity of her ancestors, who crafted toys and tools from the resources available from Country.
